Websites for the back to school season

It’s February and I’m back in the classroom.  If you are reading this blog, then you’re probably back in school too.  There have been a few websites that have been very helpful at this time.
First, I found the Mission College website to be useful.  I like the Search for Classes function. Does anybody know where the phone directory is on this website?  That should be more prominent on the home page.
Another helpful website that I used was half.com to buy my book. Where did other students buy their books?    I thought their prices were competitive with amazon.  These two websites are pretty easy to use, but the amazon webpage has much more distracting content on the homepage.  Half.com seems to focus just on books and only one or two other products.  I guess amazon has one advantage:  product reviewers.  I do like reading those before buying.
A final online service that I have been using during this back-to-school season is of course a dictionary.  I actually like dictionary.com for my own use.  For many words, it has links to recordings of that word spoken.  For English learners, I recommend Newburyhouse Dictionary of American English because it gives clear definitions with an example sentence.  How about you, my classmates?  What online dictionary have you been using?
Looking forward to this class! Ciao for now!
